Avi Deixler began making completely natural, perfectly delicious wine in 2016, in Point Reyes, California and has garnered much fervent praise ever since. Things are changing a bit, Avi's got big plans for the next chapter of Absentee (including white wines!) in a new facility, in Mendocino.

Avi does his own cooperage and ferments in barrels. Grapes are farmed organically and treated only with elemental sulphur, nothing else. Head pruned, dry-farmed, many old vines. We’re so excited to be working with this up and coming producer. He represents, for us, the best of what California wine can and should be.
