Domaine Leonine and Fifi's very own, Domaine Bascule.

I'm here in the beautiful city of Milan, poised for a long drive to France where we'll reunite with our beloved Fifi and crisscross the highways of southern France until all our wines are either drunk or sent stateside. BUT! Happy for you: you'll beat us to the punch with arrivals this week from Domaine Leonine and Fifi's very own, Domaine Bascule.

Home is where the heart is, and in our case it's the Roussillon where Fifi feels most at home taking off his Crocs. Stéphane and Caroline have been friends for years and always welcome us like family. I so look forward to seeing them again and starting our trip off on a high note. This domaine should come to mind when you think of Les Foulards Rouge and YoYo. They’re all super tight and work incredibly close together each year on pushing their project forward. The wines now in New York are from the very apex of the Morin's expertise: crafted and aged to perfection and ready for the snap of fall.

The brainchild of Dr. Fifi himself, Bascule is a project fostered by Stéphane and Caroline at their own facility, worked from organic (at least) fruit from around Roussillon. This was particularly true in the lockdown 2020 vintage where Fifi was stuck in the Greatest Western Catskills, but he's back at it in 2021 and certainly for a long time to come.
